Jockey Danny Tudhope will return from a two-month absence due to injury next week.

The highly-rated rider suffered a broken collarbone at Newcastle on January 11 when he was unseated from Belle De Lawers in a staying handicap.

But Tudhope has now been given the go-ahead to make a comeback as he attempts to reach peak fitness for the 2018 Flat turf season.

Tudhope's name appeared alongside two horses at Wolverhampton on Saturday, but agent Laura Way has identified next Tuesday's meeting at Newcastle as a possible return date.

She said: "He's not going to be riding at Wolverhampton on Saturday, but he will be definitely be back next week.

"Everything's fine with him, but he just wanted to give it a few more days.

"There's not a lot for him at Chelmsford on Monday so it's likely to be Newcastle."
