Weatherbys are delighted to announce the launch of a competition for writers which will see the winner published in the 2017 edition of our market-leading Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide.

The competition, which is open to everyone, provides a great opportunity for budding and established writers alike to showcase their talents to the Guide’s readership.

Packed with analysis, trends and opinions, the Guide is used by thousands of national hunt devotees each year and has become a key milestone for many in the lead up to the Festival.

This year’s edition will once again be produced by Matt Tombs with additional editorial features from Betfair's Tony Keenan and ATR pundit Andy Gibson, amongst others, focusing on specific betting angles at the Festival to help our readers make more informed betting decisions.

Published amongst these betting experts in 2017, for the first time, will be the winner of the competition.

Articles should be 1,500-2,000 words and specifically focus on a betting angle at the Festival. Original thought is the key with the objective being to help our readership in their quest to identify the best betting options over the four days at Prestbury Park.

Whilst the winner will be published in the 2017 Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide, the five runners up will have their article featured on bettrends.co.uk in the run up to the Festival.

Entries should be emailed to [email protected] on or before midnight on Sunday, 15th January 2017.

The winner and runners-up will be notified by email no later than 31st January 2017.*

*Weatherbys decision on the winner will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. No fee will be paid for the winning entry and all rights to the article remain with Weatherbys.
